Sports-driven-economy: 1

I have been very passionate about creating an ecosystem where the sportspersons are paid for playing their heart out in their respective sports for their cities, states or countries. The current situation is totally opposite of what I can ever visualise.

The amount of hardwork that goes in playing sports and excelling in it is immensely more than any other profession that I can think of both mentally as well as physically. However, the situation of the athletes has been ever degrading financially. In fact, there is a clear divide in peoples' minds around rich vs poor people's sports.

However, that was never the point of inventing sports. It was always to create the feeling of enjoyment and team-spirit which majority of the professions in the current world do not provide and the percentage of people that keep on continuing in that profession even though they do not enjoy their current jobs are ever increasing. Why not do what you really enjoy doing? Ghar kaun chalayega saahib comes the answer.

Henceforth, building an ecosystem where an athlete can provide as much value to the society as other professions like an engineer or doctor does becomes the real goal. The value in return is very high to think of, happy and healthy people enjoying playing their respective sports and living lives from the earnings they make through it. The growth of any athlete in this ecosystem will be based on their performance and skill set which lead to the differences in the salaries they receive just like the normal corporate ladder.

Do give it a thought and let me know of your opinions.
